Coaching With West Clermont
We are incredibly grateful for the dedication of all our coaches, who generously serve as volunteers. Their commitment is the very foundation of our organization, and we couldn't operate without their invaluable time and effort. Recognizing the significant role they play, we are committed to offering comprehensive support to empower them. To that end, we have compiled a collection of resources, including helpful links and practical practice drills, which are readily available for your use and benefit.

Coaching Requirements
Coach Meetings:
It is mandatory that All Coaches must attend one coach meeting that will be held at Elite Athletics.
Background Checks:
All new coaches are required to have a background check run. These checks are due every two years, and the WCYBA Board will cover the costs. If you had a background check run last season, you do not need to submit a new request this season.

Concussion Training:
All coaches and assistant coaches must complete or have active concussion training on file that covers the entire basketball season
If you have already completed training through the National Alliance for Youth Sports or the Coaches Toolchest, you do not need to complete a new training as long as it is valid for the entire season!

If you have not completed training, or your current training will expire, you will need to use the below link to take the training course
Team Fundraising:
Teams may fundraise during the season for various expenses, however, all fundraising efforts must be approved by the Board of Directors PRIOR to taking place. If your team is interested in holding a fundraiser, please email support@wcyba.org and more information will be provided.
