Frequently Asked Questions

Due to the number of athletes in our program, we are unable to accommodate special coach requests. Players with a parent/guardian who volunteers to coach will be placed on the same team. We maintain rosters annually and make every effort to reassign players to the same team from the previous year, provided they register on time.

All registration fees are due no later than December 1. Payment can be made via credit card through TeamSnap or check made payable to West Clermont Youth Basketball Association. Players with outstanding fees will not be permitted to participate in league games until all fees are paid in full or a payment plan is in place.

Select tryouts will be held on the following dates at Elite Athletics.

Wednesday 8/12:

5:00pm-6:30pm - 3rd & 4th grade

7:00pm-8:30pm - 5th & 6th grade

Friday 8/14:

5:00pm-6:30pm - 3rd & 4th grade

7:00pm-8:30pm - 5th & 6th grade

Saturday 8/15:

12:00pm-1:15pm - 3rd & 4th Grade

1:30pm-2:45pm - 5th Grade & 6th Grade

Sunday 8/16:

5:00pm-6:30pm - 3rd & 4th grade

7:00pm-8:30pm - 5th & 6th grade

All participants must attend at least 2 tryout sessions for evaluators to be able to make a fair assessment on your player.

– 2^nd grade will play 10 regular season games. Tournaments are held in-house and dependent on gym availability.

– 3^rd-12^th grade Recreation teams will play 10 regular season games with one guaranteed tournament game.

– Select teams will play 20 regular season games with one guaranteed tournament game.

– All home games will be held at West Clermont Middle School.

Registration fees are:

2^nd Grade – $90

3^rd-12^th Grade – $125

Select – $250

Additional costs not included in registration fees:

Referee Fee – Each team is required to pay one referee $35 per game (both home and away). These fees are collected by the coaches and may vary from team to team. Coaches will collect  money for 10 regular season games + 1 tournament game to start. If your team continues to win in tournaments, you may be asked to pay additional referee fees.

Gate Fees – CPYBL locations will charge a gate fee for entry to games. These fees will vary and are determined by location and are not controlled by West Clermont. Information about gate fee maximums and which locations typically charge fees can be found at cpybl.org/facility

Uniform Fees –  Each player is responsible for their own jersey. If your player has their jersey from last season that still fits, they may use that. If not, information about ordering a new jersey can be obtained by All Star Sportswear.

All practices will be held at Elite Athletics, Summerside Elementary, Willowville Elementary, Amelia Elementary, WT Elementary, or Over The Top Sports facility. Practice days and times will vary for each team and are decided by the coach. No team will practice before 5pm and after 10pm.

2^nd grade teams and 9^th-12^th grade teams will practice one night per week.

3^rd-8^th grade teams will practice two nights per week.

Select teams will practice 2-3 nights totaling 3 hours of practice weekly.

Select teams will begin practices on September 15*

Recreational teams will begin practices on October 27

*Teams can only begin practices as long as all coaches have completed their trainings and are fully approved.

2026-2027 season registration closes on the following dates (or when registration is full, whichever comes first):

K-1 closes 10/5

2nd-6th grade closes 10/21

7th-12th grade closes 11/10 (or after school teams are released)
